What ChargeState collects
Nothing. ChargeState has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any data about you or your vehicle.
Vehicle data stays on your device
Everything ChargeState reads from your truck over the OBD adapter — state of charge, battery data, temperatures, tire pressures, trouble codes, drive and charge history — is stored only on your phone. It is never uploaded anywhere. If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it.
The one exception: the support form
The app includes an optional Contact / Support form (under Diagnostics). If you choose to send a message, the app transmits:
- the message you typed,
- your email address, if you chose to include one, and
- basic device and app-version information (e.g. iPhone model, iOS version, ChargeState version) so we can reproduce your issue.
That submission is used to file a support ticket on GitHub, where we track and respond to issues. It is the only network request the app ever makes to us, it happens only when you tap Send, and it never includes your vehicle telemetry or history.
This website
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from third parties. Our web server keeps ordinary short-lived access logs (as virtually all web servers do); they are not used to track you.
Children
ChargeState is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, children included.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date. Since the app collects nothing, we expect changes to be rare and boring.
